AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT OF 2009 POLICY
To comply with the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) (Public Law 111-5)
This policy applies to all West Virginia University, inclusive of its divisional campuses and West Virginia University Research Corporation, projects/programs that are fully or partially funded by ARRA funds, either directly or indirectly.
The purpose of this policy is to inform the University community that the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) imposes specific reporting and funds management requirements on all projects/programs funded with ARRA funds. The University community must comply with the requirements set forth in ARRA. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in the University and/or sponsoring agency taking administrative action, including dis-allowance of cost or the suspension or termination of the award.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR IMPLEMENTATION
All employees are charged with providing full support of this policy. It is the responsibility of the Dean or Director to implement and maintain this policy within their college, department and unit. It is the responsibility of the Principal Investigator to ensure their sponsored award is in compliance.
RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERPRETATION
Responsibility for interpretation of this policy rests with West Virginia University ARRA Project Team. Specific questions should be directed to Financial Services at ARRA@mail.wvu.edu or 304-293-4002.
