Departmental Administration (DA) occurs in all
academic office space and multiple-use rooms (e.g., stockrooms, department
lounges) which service or provide support to academic school/department operations.
This space is recognized as administrative or supporting service areas that benefit
multiple departmental activities. This would include expenses such as the salaries
of secretarial and clerical staffs, the salaries of administrative officers,
and assistants, travel, office supplies, stockrooms, and the like. DA activities
support more than one functional activity in the department in proportions that
cannot be readily approximated.
